LED TV and PS3 display settings help?

I just bought a samsung LED tv 1080p. I have a ps3 with hdmi cable connected to tha tv and all, but the LED tv’s picture display looks kind of weird. On tha display settings I got tha following set:
Backlight: 19
Contrast: 60 (it was 100 at first, thought it was way too much)
Brightness: 45
Sharpness: 50
Color: 55

Advanced settings I got tha following put on:
Darkness: off
Dynamic contrast : Low
Color Range: Native

I am getting REALLY confused with these un-familiar settings. Its been 3 straight days Ive been tryna fix tha best picture settings for my ps3. It just doesnt work. When I make it dark, it looks good only in some scenes, tha rest looks kind of messed up. I was thinkin to myself, this is a fuckin LED TV, expect better pictures.
I just need an expert to help me out, I would REALLY appreciate it.
Thank you

Samsung or LG LED TV?

Im looking to buy an LED TV. I know of the makers: LG and Samsung. Which one has the best picture?

Why is there an intense buzzing noise coming from my new Blu-Ray player?

I have a brand new Sony BDP S360 Blu-Ray Player connected via A/V cables to a brand-new Sharp LC-19SB27UT LCD HD television. Everything works great — the audio and video are flawless, but there is an annoying and incessant buzzing sound coming from the Blu-Ray Player. It flares up occasionally when watching a film and is always sounding off on the player’s home screen. Please help me get rid of the noise!

Is it better to go with a Blu- Ray player or a HD movie downloading service like Apple’s iTunes movie store?

I’m debating whether I should get a Blu Ray player, or just purchase HD content from iTunes or similar stores online and stream them to the TV. My Macintosh computer is nearby my HDTV, so getting a cable to it would not be a problem, so AppleTV is out of the question (it’s unnecessary in my book, i could get a storage drive for much cheaper separately.) What do you think?

Samsung LED TV (not really LED TV)?

I’m quite stumped here, according to experts I spoken too they mention that Samsung’s LED TV are not true LED solution but instead still based on the older LCD panel with only LED backlighting.

After further research I have concluded these are actually conventional LCD (liquid crystal display) technology TVs in White LEDs (light emitting diodes) mounted around the edge, instead of more conventional means of illumination to provide panel backlighting. I would like some detailed clarification on this.

Also are there any TRUE LED based TV out in the general consumer market that are available right now?

Which tv is better, LCD or LED?

On my samsung TV when I press the info button this little gauge in the righthand bottom corner comes up displaying a battery figure in the middle a needle going around the outside of the gauge and on the left it say LED tv and on the right it says conventional tv. What do I need to get a HD ready tv to work with Blu – Ray player?

I bought a friend’s HD Ready Sony Projection TV (Model KP-57HW40) that comes HD Ready. I’m not very technical but I understand this isn’t a HDTV per se but is HD Ready. What do I need to get in order to view things in HD and get a Blu-Ray player? Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
